Wines Required for the Level 2 Final Exam

. For the Level 2 final exam, only seven wines are required. These are drawn from the benchmark selections used throughout the program:

  1. Sauvignon Blanc – Same profile as Week One (look for grassy, herbal notes)
  2. California Chardonnay – Same as Week One (buttery, oaked, full-bodied)
  3. Red Burgundy (Pinot Noir) – Same as Week Four (Old World, earthy)
  4. Chianti Classico (Sangiovese) – Same as Week Three (cedar, tobacco, leather)
  5. Grenache – Same as Week Three (Old World style with herbal or floral notes)
  6. Northern Rhône Syrah – Same as Week Four (game, smoke, or meat notes)
  7. Haut-Médoc (Bordeaux) – Same as Week Four (graphite, pencil shavings, cedar)
