While it’s encouraged to support your local wine shop, it’s important that any wines used in your certification program closely match the recommended benchmarks provided by the National Wine School. Wines from large national chains often do not meet the sensory or stylistic standards required for the program and may not be approved.

If you’d like to use a local shop, bring them the official NWS wine recommendation list and ask them to help you match as closely as possible.
