There is one skill that all professional winemakers and master sommeliers possess. Like a skeleton key, it opens many doors. Not only can this skill give you entry to the trade, but it also supercharges your appreciation of fine wine. This skill has a simple name with layers of meaning: blind tasting.
Here at the National Wine School, we bring you the skills typically only available to Advanced sommeliers. By the end of this program, you will be able to separate the layers of flavor of wine into its core components: primary fruit, winemaking techniques (including barrel aging), differences between wine styles, and varietal fingerprints.
The Level Two program features Keith Wallace, founder of the Wine School of Philadelphia. Professor Wallace uses an appealing combination of humor and skill to craft classes that bring out the best in his students. Keith is a founding member of the National Wine School and is ranked as one of the best instructors working in the United States.

The prerequisite for this program is the Level One Wine Course.
Extensions beyond the 180-day timeframe are available if you submit an extension request.

We use a proprietary system based on LAMP protocols leveraged with the Cloudflare Application Security Portfolio. This means you need a modern browser like Chrome and a computer with up-to-date security to take our courses. We also advise having a computer that can run any major operating system and was preferably built within the last eight years.
Do not take the final exam until you are ready: There are no practice exams! The Week 8 Final Exam is your one and only try. If you do not pass, you have the option to retake it for a fee.
