The National Wine School designs and delivers certification programs aligned with the ANSI/ASTM E2659-18 standard for certificate programs. This standard, developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in partnership with ASTM International, provides a recognized framework for the development and management of non-degree educational programs that issue certificates upon successful completion.
As a certificate-granting institution, the National Wine School adheres to the following principles outlined in the ANSI/ASTM E2659 standard:
- Defined learning outcomes and competencies for each program
- Structured curricula supported by instructional design principles
- Validated assessments that measure mastery of course content
- Transparent issuance of certificates with documented completion requirements
- Ongoing program evaluation and continuous improvement practices
All National Wine School certification programs are non-credit, non-degree offerings focused on skill development and vocational training in wine education. The programs are designed for both industry professionals and academic institutions seeking rigorous, standards-based instruction.
The School maintains internal documentation of instructional alignment, assessment validation, and completion verification in accordance with ANSI/ASTM E2659 expectations. While the School is not currently accredited by ANSI as a third-party certifying body, it follows the structural and pedagogical guidelines required for institutional alignment with this national standard.
