Requirements
Along with earning their L3 (Core) certification, the student must complete a minimum of four Advanced Courses* and a minimum of 720 course hours (also known as clock hours).
When to Apply
When you hit the threshold of 720 course hours, we will send you an invitation to apply. If you received that email, please continue your application. If you have not received that invitation, please check your account to verify you have fulfilled the required 720 course hours before you apply.
How to Apply
During the checkout process, we need the following information: Please include the applicant’s name and the school or university they attended in the order notes. If you do not include this information, we will reach out to you before we can complete the application. Please note that the University of Florida and Berkley City College have different application processes, and students from either of those schools should not use this form.
Application Process
The review process typically takes about fourteen business days to complete. Once you the application process has been completed, a student who has been approved will be sent a electronic notice of completion, along with a link to order their Advanced Sommelier pin and a hard copy of their certification.
*Advanced, Specialist, Scholar, or Masters courses are collectively referred to as “Advanced Courses” The students must have completed their L3 (Core) Certification prior to earning their Advanced Sommelier qualification. The Numerical Grade does not include the numerical grade from your L3 (Core) Certification.
