# Do quizzes in online courses matter, and do they count toward my final grade?

For most programs, **lesson quizzes do not count toward your final grade**, and you can take them multiple times for practice.

If a quiz does count toward your grade, you will be clearly notified **before you take it**.

Please note: this does **not** apply to final exams. **Final exams can only be taken once**, and the result is final.
